"Hello Juniors" is an initiative of the Austrian Golf Association for children under the age of 12. To start playing golf is free for them. Golf is a good sport for children and that's why the ÖGV wants to show that playing golf is not expensive, boring or old-fashioned.
More than 100 clubs in Austria are already participating in the “Hello Juniors” campaign. The promotion offers free on-site play (as specified by the club), no registration fee, and no annual member fee. Thousands of children have already discovered the fun of golf.
Golf is a good sport for children. You spend a lot of time in the fresh air and move around in nature. In addition, coordination and concentration are encouraged, which can also help at school. The children also learn to play fair.
The ÖGV launched the "Hello Juniors" campaign in spring 2011. This campaign is intended to increase the children's curiosity and facilitate access to golf. Children under the age of 12 can start playing golf for free, in some clubs even under the age of 14.
In and around Vienna, for example, the following clubs are part of this campaign:
- Golfclub Marco Polo Vienna
- C&C Golfclub am Wienerberg
- Golfclub Frühling
- Golf Club Breitenfurt
- City & Country Golfclub Richardhof
