SPORTS CAN CONTRIBUTE TO BODY AND MENTAL DEVELOPMENT. IT PROMOTES WELL-BEING AND SOCIAL COMPETENCESPORTS CAN CONTRIBUTE TO BODY AND MENTAL DEVELOPMENT. IT PROMOTES WELL-BEING AND SOCIAL COMPETENCE

Exercise is primarily used in childhood for physical health and supports mental development (promotion of language development and cognitive development), but can also have a positive influence on social behavior in the form of sport. Each sport requires adhering to certain rules and interacting with others.

SUPPORTING SOCIAL COMPETENCE

Sport has a special role to play in the development of social behavior. The number of children in Austria is falling and there are more and more single children. "Indoor entertainment" (computer games, TV programs, etc.) is steadily increasing, which is why children often prefer to stay indoors instead of going out in the fresh air. This not only inhibits athletic but also social skills. Dealing with a community further encourages the child, both through the competitive mindset and the sense of belonging. Your child will learn games more quickly and with fun, skills faster than in the compulsory gym lessons in the school.
